Our programmes Online Support to assist Parents on their child's Return to School Online Support to assist Parents on their Child's Return to School 'Creating a smooth road back to school' for Primary and Post Primary Parents The impact of the lockdown on children and young people has not just been academic but also emotional. Speaking to parents, they are extremely concerned about the anxiety that their children are exhibiting during this time. As a result, GSAP commissioned Máire Dunne and Resilio to create online videos to assist parents, on their children’s return to school. These are short videos which will help parents with strategies and techniques, that will help their children cope. Understanding our Emotions 3. Adapting to the New Norm “St Joseph’s Boys’ School is using these supportive resources received for preventative curriculum work which is ongoing inn the school. It has been cascaded to small groups of pupils through discussions with their form teachers and the tentative exploration of how both pupils and staff are feeling about returning to school and their experiences through lock down. These video resources will be used over the next few weeks as part of our pastoral programmes. The parental resource video will also be distributed to support our pupils and families working through this unprecedented time”.
