FCWP Update

The Foyle Community Works Programme represents one of a number of projects that have received funding as part of the £80 million Social Investment Fund.The Foyle Community Work Programme is directed at young people aged 16-24 not in education, training and employment, and adults who are long term unemployed or economically inactive who are disengaged from the labour market, with few or no qualifications and who may have additional barriers to accessing and remaining in employment.

As of the 31st May 2017, we are currently working with 42 Host Employers who are providing 2 year work placements for 103 participants on the Foyle Community Work Programme (8 participants have exited the programme).

To date there are 96 participants x 30 hours per week & 7 participants x 16 hours per week

84 participants live in the NRA’s within the top 20% on income, training, training, education domains of the Multiple Deprivation Measure 

109 participants have achieved a recognised vocational/training qualification as of the 31st May 2017.

98 (88.3%) have gained an accredited educational qualification as of the 31st May 2017.

36 participants have gained essential skills qualifications
