Through intensive consultation / planning meetings Culmore Community Partnership have mapped potential projects and prioritised four large scale capital projects which the group have been advocating/progressing in partnership with DC&SDC – these include the refurbishment of Victoria Hall into a new multi service community centre / hub for the village with feasibility study completed in Dec 2017 and architect led team appointed in April 2018;

In addition, the CCP are working closely with DC&SDC on the further development of the North West Greenway Plan (DC&SDC are tendering to complete a feasibility study into the new ‘riverside’ greenway from Derry to Muff along the River Foyle through Culmore) and we are delighted that under the INTERREG IVa Programme, DC&SDC have secured approx. £15m for the ‘North West Greenways Network’ to create three new greenways, one of which will be targeted at the main arterial route through Muff Village to Derry via Culmore.   CCP are also engaging with the promoters of a new ‘retirement village’ proposal for the old Thornhill College site on the periphery of the village.
