Minister Tom Mc Elhinney of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints based on the Racecourse Road kindly hosts GSAP Project Manager 'Ciara Ferguson ' and the Forge 'Northside Digital Archiving Hub' Co-ordinator 'Mary Mc Brearty' and her team of volunteers on Tuesday 19th September 2017

During the visit GSAP and the FORGE were delighted to receive a copy of the Church's 'Foyle Ward 50th Anniversary DVD' which documents the establishment and history of the Church in our community. This will be a great addition to our current digital archive of the Greater Shantallow Area at the FORGE, Unit 20 Northside Village Centre.

During the vist FORGE volunteers with support from Terry Coyle from the NERVE CENTRE were delighted to be able to interview Bernadette Bradley at the Foyle Family History Centre and capture her memories of the Bradley family living and working in the city and Shantallow over the last century. Also volunteers were delighted to meet Seoirse O Dochartaigh a renowned musician, painter, researcher, writer and genealogist.

Natalie Mc Brearty, Anne Crawford, Terry Coyle and Pat Mc Brearty from the FORGE, Keith Wright from the Foyle Family History Centre, Seoirse O Dochartaigh and sitting down is the lovely Bernadette Bradley.
