Families Connect is an 8 week project that uses a series of activities and games for parents, carers & grandparents to use, to help make a positive learning experience for children. This project is aimed at children between the ages of 4-6 years old.

Families Connect, focuses on the Social & Emotional development of children, Literacy & Language development and Numeracy & mathematics.

Each of the eight workshops uses play as a vehicle for learning, to enhance the positive interaction between parents and their children.

The long term aim of Families Connect is to give children a greater chance of achieving their potential and do better in school.

Families Connect is designed to increase the relationship between class-room learning and the home learning environment. Our project is aimed at building a positive learning legacy for children, schools and families.

Families Connect is a Save the Children signature project and is hosted by the Greater Shantallow Area Partnership. If you would like to know more please contact GSAP on 028 71 35 87 87 or email: [email protected]
